Expression Web is the new Microsoft replacement to FrontPage.

Expression Web’s interface, is similar to Dreamwwaver based on palettes flanking the main workspace that shows web pages you are working on. Any web page consists of code that produces the desired layout onscreen, and in Expression Web you can work in Design view, Code view or Split view, which shows both code and layout. This interface is the most common found with web editors.

Expression Web’s drag-and-drop capabilities and excellent code editing features are really useful. The code it generates is more standards compliant than Frontpage.

Recently, I came across a video promotion created by John Reese, a famous internet marketer.

Normally, when someone wants to market his product, he would design a one-page sale letter, with a striking headline, some features and benefits. There would be enticing bonuses, testimonials and a call-to-action.

However, John Reese promoted his product using a different media. He replaced the sale letter with a just a video clip.

If you were an internet marketer, you may be thinking whether this form of marketing can really attract any buyer and is it doable?

Well, John made some comments on Warrior Forum. Here is what John said.

*ANYONE* can do it. It just comes down to the offer and the way that offer is communicated. Just like any infomercial works. Although, selling via Internet video is a bit different than an informercial as Internet video is truly LINEAR (i.e. you can control the exact order in which a prospect consumes the ‘message) whereas an infomercial is designed in 4-5 small repeating chunks because they have no idea when someone might flip the channel and land on the infomercial. Make sense?

And some people that might read your post will be thinking, “Oh well, of course, he’ll send them to the sales letter after they opt-in to that notification list.” Umm, nope. As stated in the video, there is no sales letter.

* We’re going to start seeing more and more VIDEO ONLY marketing online. In fact, within 5 years we’ll probably see more of them than traditional sales letters. In the short-term (next 1-5 years) we’ll see a lot more HYBRID letters… part video, part written copy, but I really think it’s only a matter of time before we see more VIDEO ONLY marketing, or at least 90% video with a little supporting copy.

Video is just a much better vehicle than text when it’s used properly.

Let me give you some quick tips…

Create your video like you would a good sales letter.. keep AIDA in mind (i.e. Attention, Interest, Desire, Action)

If you breakdown my video and really analyze it you’ll see it follows the same “flow” of a good sales letter…

- The beginning is positioned to get their attention with the “Shocking” stuff… I reveal some attention-getting things right away to “pull” people in and make them want to “find out how the story ends” (just like how a good movie script is written… opening scene makes you want to stay until the end to find out what happens.)…. so this is the ATTENTION phase.

- It’s then supported by FACTS that reinforce the overall message.. i.e. that this “opportunity” is tremendous and they should really consider it doing it. (INTEREST)

- Then it flows more into how anyone can do it right away and how too can reap the rewards that many others have, as well as some things to get started, things to make sure they do and why others fail, etc. etc. etc.. (DESIRE)

- Then ultimately closes with a possible “solution” which is a step-by-step class to show them exactly how to do what they are hoping to and encourages them to sign up for the class. (ACTION)

That’s all there is to it.

When you start an internet marketing business, domain names will be one of the first things you should register. A domain name is like a brand name, address or an identity to your website. It has to be unique, concise and memorable.

It is a good point to register a domain name that is relevant to the topic of your website. For example, if you are having a website about cars but your domain name says something like www.goodseats.com, it will not do well to your business.

A short domain name is recommended over a long one. However a long domain name can contain more key words and this could be a benefit where search engines are concerned. Research your options carefully. A long name works if it is dead on and meaningful.

Tip #5
If the domain name is for an industry then you can use a generic name. Select a name that represents one hundred percent the market segment, such as www.autoinsurance.com would represent the auto insurance business.

You may want to come up with a domain name to establish an identity. Many profitable enterprises have a domain name that is the brand identity of their business. Examples of successful brands are Hot Mail, Google, Ebay, and Amazon.
